Is Costco related to the price of oil more than other retailers? There seems to be a closer resemblance with the price of oil and Costco than any of the other discount stores on the market today; sure Wal-Mart and other retailers have been generally doing better a lot of times when the price of Oil goes up but none of them seem to do quite as well in increased sales as Costco. This I think stems from the obvious investing fact that certain stocks like Costco Stock are closely related to other things more than other are companies are. Investors have known for years that certain companies tend to follow the trend of certain commodities and other companies more than others. This is a course an obvious thing; the stock market in general tends to follow the S&P500 and the list of comparisons goes on and on; notes: these comparisons can help you. The question is will oil keep going up? The answer to that question by a lot of Americans is “almost certainly” in which case I think Costco Stock will be a very good because of their idea of trying to get you too buy their products in massive bulk quantities for less. Buying in bulk and going to neighborhood markets may become a way of life in America in the very near future because it will simply cost too much to drive across town an buy a few things at the Grocery Store when you could stash up on products and hold off on driving so much. Other investors out there think that alternative sources of energy will come along and we won’t have to be buying so much oil anymore in which case certain companies like grocery stores will thrive like they always have. While nobody knows for certain, the answers to these questions in my opinion is that oil or gas will continue to rise for a long period of time before any significant changes can be made to slow down consumption. Also what people don’t realize is that most the products including food take a ton of oil just to produce and sell on the market. Cars take hundreds of gallons of oil to build these days just to make the plastic light weight interiors. Keeping your food cold and hot also takes a lot of energy that generally comes from fossil fuels. So if we know that oil is probably in my opinion related to the long term success of bulk selling and will benefit things like Costco Stock then now might be a good time to buy a retailer like them? I will present you with the evidence and then you can decide for yourself.

-Opinions That Oil Will Go Up
The consumption of oil is too high for the American people to not have it go up, plus most the products that Americans use come from oil, so we will need oil for along time to come. There are no good alternative sources of energy right now, or if there are the patents on these alternative sources are owned by oil companies anyway so we can’t even use them effectively. Peak Oil is a reality and that’s why gas keeps getting so expensive and the marketplace of selling goods will change in that companies that sell in bulk and that are close to residential areas will do better than companies that don’t sell in bulk and are too far from homes.

-Opinions That Oil Will NOT Go UpAlternative sources of energy are emerging and there is absolutely no reason why we can’t tap into them now. The government will eventually step in and make sure that if oil isn’t cheap that we have good alternative sources of transportation and travel with alternative sources of energy that scientists are already working on because of the massive amount of tax money being plugged into finding alternative energy resources.

Whatever your opinion is on what will happen to the price of oil and gas, one thing is for certain and that is it will affect certain companies and stocks totally different than others suck as Costco Stock.
