corporate publicity in your strategy When you invest in a company especially for the long term it's smart to think about where the company is politically and what people in your country and in the world think about it. Do people think of your company is greedy? Do people think maybe that it is doing something that is bad and wrong in the world? For instance I know a lot of people these days are very upset with oil companies saying that they are greedy and gouging the price of gas up. I am not here to tell you my opinion on whether they are but rather how will things like this will effect the company and it's stock? investing in bonds When a company looks bad it risks certain things like protests outside of it's operations, attacks, bad media coverage which makes it less likely that people will shop there and laws made to restrict the company. As you can see this is important for the long term position. Phone companies had a monopoly at one time and they got such bad publicity the government made laws that prohibited them in to make money in a lot of ways. If you had owned stock in them you would need to know where the company stands in the world.investing ideas
Where to find it's position publically befire investing in stocks
So you need to figure out if the company is popular. This isn't a hard thing to do really. Of course check the news and see if anyone has been saying anything bad about the company that you are thinking of investing in. Ask your friends and people in other countries what they think of it. With the internet you can you use chat rooms, forums, blogs, and question and answer sites to find out soon where your company stands to the public and it's corporate publicity. going private or public One thing to remember is that many companies that are in touch with the public these days are also what are called green companies. Green investing happens when the investor believes that companies that focus on the environment will be more efficient and more publicized in things like the news and papers thereby allowing more free advertising. Be faithful in investing green and don't rule out newer companies that have a plan on appeasing people with corporate publicity on the environment while providing new energy or technology.
