learning about the stock market with tough companies that are hard to compete with

learning about the stock market for beginners

The first thing I think that people should learn about in the market is that the companies that are the hardest to compete with and have the best profits will win in the end. Basically the companies that are hard to compete with in a given industry will grow the most and this will be shown in their numbers like their profit margins. The first thing to look at in a company is what do they have that their competition doesn't? Take Coke and Pepsi for example. They are very hard to compete with becasue 1. Most people have tried them so they have a huge customer base. 2. They advertise constantly. 3. Stores trust that their products will sell and can't risk putting other pop there on their shelves. These reasons make their company look better on paper too. investors in real estate

Understanding what the numbers on paper are can be the key to learning about the stock market. The things to look for in an industry are their ROE return on equity, profit margins, debt to equity, and current ratio. These are the most important to look at becasue they show that a company has an edge like Coke and Pepsi do in the soft drink industry. So here it goes, you are looking at companies that drill for oil but you don't know what the one that has the best chance or making the most money.

Investing in stocks by how tough the company is

If you analyze the companies that drill for oil you would look at those 4 factors. So this means that the one that has the highest profit margins probably for SOME REASON has a clear advantage over their competition. If they have a higher current ratio then their competition it means that they have more assets vs.debt for some reason and USUALLY A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE of some sort. recession resistant investing in stocks

IF the stockholders are making better returns on their equity the owners of the company are better off than the other owners of the competing company. You have to think about what gives them a competitive edge but if you study the numbers of the company you can soon see why they are in a better position than their competition. This is one of the keys to investing in the stock market and learning about the stock market.
