market research techniques

For the authors favorite market research techniques CLICK HERE. Basically there is no one market technique that works for all people all the time but my favorite is a contrarian approach to the market. I personally enjoy Contrarian investing and I think it works out especially for the long run. I don't recommend Contrarian style investing to most people beginners that visit this site though, as it is more complicated than just simply cutting your loses small if your starting out with a market strategy. Everyone as we all know has their own personality and method of solving problems. For investing in stocks they will need to find what it is that is unique about them and make a smart market strategy that works for them . The plan will have to be unique to the individual.

Smart stock investors develop a market strategy for investing in the stock market

Never tell me that there is one and only one strategy that works in the markets because there are many. I believe there are many that work better than others but there are no absolutes. The first thing you should ask yourself is are you trying generate income from your investing? Many people I know are income investors, who like dividends and expect them. I personally don't like income investing, becasue I am looking for long term capital gains. You might be different though especially if you want to do investing for retirement and want the cash dividends coming in every 4 months.

Remember though that the most important thing to look at in a company is it's management and how much they own. If a guy just started a company and he owns over 50% he probably is going to care about the business a lot more than an entrepreneur who started it and now only owns 1% of the stock. You must be thinking about who started it, who owns a lot of stock now, who runs it, and how many shares do the people that run the company own. If you know your buying a good company that has good products and a great management team then you will know that the investment is almost certain to mature with good returns in the long run. Management is the ultimate in market research techniques--figure out how much stake they have in the company.LUCK!To learn about market efficiency (go here) After you know how many shares the management owns make sure that you study their financial status well wither whatever market research technique you have that is unique to you.
