Soda companies these days are now receiving more threatening competition in my opinion then they were even 10 years ago. While I do think that lot of these companies are doomed or are at least doing very poorly as of the date of this article I don’t think that they are all doomed. JSDA Jones Soda inc. is a good example of a soda pop that actually caught on for awhile but now seems to be a dieing company. Another company that has a lot of assets but seems to be a fraction of what it once was is DPS the Dr. Pepper Snapple group inc. Then of course we have PEP Pepsi, Coke, KO and HANS Hansen’s Soda incorporated. Hansen’s soda has been one of the best performing stocks over the past 10 to 12 years for the entire stock market. This just goes to show you in my opinion that great new companies in the soda market are certainly possible. The question now is, what soda companies are worth investing in? W

ill the smaller capital companies like even Hansen’s soda continue to grow and prosper in the future? I personally think that Coca Cola is a well run company in the sense that they won’t go broke anytime soon but their competition like Hans doesn’t have as much marketing influence to grow. Marketing isn’t everything though because many times the best companies are actually ones that don’t need marketing but rather have good enough products that people choose them over the other less tasty products. What are people’s opinions here on what will happen with the soda makers that are in the American market?
