For those who don't already know technical analysis is the belief that investing and market prices are mostly psychological and move up and down based on patterns volume and technical indicators. So many of you may be asking yourself where can I find good charts if I believe technicals actually work? Well there are many and they are not hard to find. Most of them are actually free and will be listed here in the handy link above. Make sure that if you use charting and technical tools that you compare one chart on a site to another chart from another site. This will insure that the charts are accurate. Sometimes I have noticed that some charts get different results and technical indicators. time management Do technicals work for investing in stocks?I would say that technical analysis has some truth to it. If something has no truth to it then nobody would ever use it. Technical analysis works but the problem is when does it count? One persons views of a graph or an indicator may be way different then their friends view on the same graph. Do not forget though that no matter how much you believe in technical analysis fundamental analysis still counts. If you are wrong sometime with your technicals but you are stuck with a company that is fundamentally unsound you can lose a lot of money in a very short period of time. I have heard experiences like this one time when I kids start investing young. They buy some stock in a company and was basing their predictions off technicals and charts. Then It started going down and the stock didn't go as I had planned and becasue it had poor fundamentals it started collapsing and needless to say so did my money supply. |
